“My name is Nahedd Kayyali. I am from Gaza City. I am 26 years old. I have Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development, and I am continuing my higher education towards an MBA. I work as an ICT Program Coordinator in an international NGO that supports university graduates to become more competitive on the job market. My job makes me feel that I have a responsibility to raise my voice and say: Please World WAKE UP! Gazan youth have abilities and skills and they have the right to improve themselves like any youth in the World! We just need the opportunity!”

Nora we can say that universities do nothing to solve this problem unfortunately , they really need a big push towards enhancing their methodologies to focus on the real local market not only giving student theories and knowledge that are totally can’t be applied in real in our region
I Think that all the sides should cooperate with each other in order to making the graduates able and make them ready to face the real market. for example i think that international organizations and private sector can work on making graduates knowledgeable enough to what is going on in the real market . i think that the weakness is in the practical part so they can work on enhancing this important part by making courses, workshops, boot camps and others
Youth need great effort from all the sides to limit the gap between their academic studies and the real market needs!! They just need their legal opportunity.
You are right, Nahedd. What is the private sector in Gaza doing to help? Do the universities understand the problem? What role can internationals play, if any?
